slovaris.online publishes plain-language explainers about consumer computer security: how malware detection works, how fraud is carried out, and what to check before paying for a security product. It is operated by Cape Coral Inc., s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic.

Who publishes this site

What we are trying to do

Most writing about security software is either a vendor’s own marketing or a ranking assembled by someone who has not tested anything. We try to occupy the space in between: explain the actual mechanism, say who has done the testing, and be explicit about the limits of what we know. If a question needs a laboratory to answer, we send you to the laboratory rather than inventing a figure.

How the site is funded

Advertising and affiliate commission, and nothing else. When a reader takes out a subscription after following a partner link on this site, the advertiser pays us a commission. The reader pays no more than they would by going to the advertiser directly, and we receive nothing if a reader simply reads and leaves.

Every commercial link on this site is labelled as a partner link where it appears, and every page carrying one says so at the top before any promotional content. The full arrangement is set out on our advertising disclosure page.

What we do not do

• We do not run a testing laboratory, and we do not publish detection scores, benchmark figures or star ratings of our own.
• We do not publish testimonials, reader stories or reviews we did not receive from an identifiable person. There are none on this site.
• We do not use countdown timers, stock warnings, fabricated urgency or invented discounts.
• We do not collect anything about our readers. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party scripts of any kind. See our cookie policy for how to verify that yourself.
• We do not sell, bill or support any product. We are not the seller of anything advertised here.

Who writes here

Ava Johnson is the responsible editor and director of publication, and is accountable for everything published on this site. Articles carry a named byline and a publication date. Where an article is materially changed after publication, the change is recorded on our corrections page.
